Earning pocket money

Some cash is always handy to have jingling in your pocket. There are some ways of earning money casually and off-the-radar in Berlin. These ways of earning are usually not sufficient to pay all your bills.

You could donate/ sell your plasma for cash at a clinic (18-23€/per session [dependent on weight] x 60 times max per year). CSL Plasma
Some notes on this:

• You will need a good level of German (~B1) to fill out the forms
• You will need your Anmeldung ie to be registered as living in Berlin

Another option is to collect empty plastic bottles (25c/ bottle) or glass bottles (8-15c/ bottle) and get the cash refunded at any supermarket. Just look for the appropriate symbols on bottles eg "Mehrweg", "Einzelweg". In the summer months there are plenty of bottles as the people drink more on the streets and in the parks, but there are also a lot more collectors.
